Niyonah's Story
"You are stronger than you know, braver than you feel, and loved more than you can imagine."
At just 15 years old, I was diagnosed on Monday, February 24, 2020, with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, accompanied by a 10cm tumor on my heart. I underwent three surgeries, with my family supporting me throughout my fight. I triumphed in that battle and enjoyed 4.5 years of remission before the C-Word returned. As I face this challenge again, it motivated me to establish the Niyonah Zyaire Foundation. This mission extends far beyond myself; I aspire to spread hope, awareness, support, and advocacy for others battling this fight alongside me. No one should face this battle alone.
Hope, strength, and resilience are an essential piece of the cancer journey because it empowers me to face each challenge with courage and determination. Hope brings light in difficult moments, strength fuels the fight against adversity, and resilience helps navigate setbacks with unwavering perseverance.
